My car starts fine cold but if it's warmed up its harder to start and stumbles a little. Once I start going down the road it lags a little and then it fine again.

It has had the valve lash done, timing is set at 8 btc . I don't know the idle speed...I should get a tach!

Have you done Dans fuel line mod yet? Had the same problems with my Satellite and after doing the mod, problems went away. It could also be a float set to high.

My 74 Duster did the same. Fuel line ran in front of the head and close to the exhaust, I covered it with a piece of split heater hose, all was good. Nothing is so permanent as a temporary fix.
