Just picked up a rebuilt 225 and the price was great .
I was wondering about the freeze plugs. My original
engine has 3 and the rebuilt has 5. Im sure its a later model
cause the original id starts off with 24 and the other is 28.

68 and up have a larger end on crank ...both inside and outside dia. bigger then 67 and earlier

Its going into a 63 Polara and just before I came in here I just figured
out that that end is bigger than mine .Are they pressed in or is this something I could get at auto parts store or do I have to get it milled?

The trans is automatic and I believe its a torqueflight

If it's a 904 automatic, you will need the later flex plate (large center hole) and the special adapter ring to press into the end of the cranlkshaft.
(I have the adapter rings, if you need one)

Thanks guys had my original milled for forty bucks and bolted
trans right up. Gotta tell you mounting a slant six is a pain in the dipstick
I fought all day trying different chain angles.Then again Im half crazy
thinking I could sweep away the gravel in driveway and lay some
plywood down .

So it sounds like you had someone machine-open the center hole of your current flexplate and did not use an adapter bushing to support the front of the converter... correct?

So day 2 of trying to mount this engine and come to find out that
the oil pans are different !!!!!!

The original engine is a 1966 , the id is 2463430-13
The engine im trying to mount ? the id is 2806830-4
Will this work if I take original oil pan off and put on the new engine?
Its going in a 63 Polara . The engine im trying to mount ,there is a
number on the oil pan which is 285 , my original engine oil pan has no
number. :x

I failed to say that the new engine oil pan is hitting the K Member as I
swing the engine down to line up passenger side motor mount , the driver side mount is lined up only because I noticed a difference and put my
original one on . Gotta love surprises it builds character :P

This engine came out of a 66 Belvedere , is the K member different ,
body longer than my 63 Polara , maybe I should have completed
that physics class .

Swap the oil pan and pickup from your '63 engine onto the newer engine.
And yes, you'll need that transmission adaptor bushing if it's not already present.
