UPS just delivered my valve cover and dual single manifold as well. Guess I better get cracking on fabricating another stovepipe for this one just like my other one.

Rob....there's an extra voice in your head, now. It's a valve cover whispering "buy me, buy me".

Sidebar ! You guys that bought the 2x1 intake.....if you plan on mounting Holley 1920's, check your carb flange bolt pattern soonest. I wanted to use Holley 1904's, and the bolt pattern is smaller on the carb than it is on the manifold. I may be wrong, but I think the 1904 and 1920 uses the same flange pattern. I'm already in the planning stages of fabricating an adapter for this. (Also working on a water heat manifold for plenum heat, as I wanted to run headers.)

Would you be interested in fabricating a stovepipe and baffles for mine? I would pay you for the time and materials. I really like the looks of the previous one you did and figured since you had already done it before you would probably be the expert.

Believe me, I'm no expert - just winged it. I just cut and formed the the sheet aluminum for the shape of the baffles and rolled the aluminum till I got the correct size for the PCV cap. I had someone else TIG the stovepipe together and TIG it as well as the baffles to the valve cover. I had them hole saw the valve cover since they were doing the other work. Anyway, drop me a PM.

I assume everyone got their parts and things look good. I know my dual carb intake is looking mighty fine. Remember Dan might have a few extras if you were sittin' on the fence. Thanks to Dan and the rest of you guys for making another group buy a success.

Quick question,

Will the intake retain it's cast aluminum appearance once installed on the engine, or will it start to corrode?

I have seen a lot of people spray their intakes with a clear polyurethane coating to protect them from the oil grime and road dirt that always finds itself making the intake look grungy. Its slick finish keeps the dirt and stuff from getting into the pores of the aluminum making it harder to keep clean otherwise. You might try that.
