Anyone have the link to SSD's ground strap recommendation?
Do a search on NIPONDENSO alternator conversion...

In short....
Run a strap from the alternator ground stud, to the voltage regulator bolt. Be sure to scarp off the paint so it makes a good connection. That should settle it down unless your battery is old and going.....mud in the bottom shorting the bottom of the plates.

I did everything that you guys had listed. I am not at 14.5 volts. Makes me happy. I thought I would never get mine lowered.

I cant tell people enough that grounding is a must :!: . It doesnt matter what I drive, I make sure that there are grounds (of good size) from battery to frame to engine to body. And I always try to link them with the same studs if possible. When i got the slant it had a typical 8ish guage ground from battery to inner fender, 10ish to the back of the water pump and a 14! to the radiator support. Local audio store for 6 gauge wire, lowes for the ends and 45 min later I had no issues with grounds 8) . Works well for presetup to do the HEI swap too  . Worst part was, I was at Ft Lee about 6 mo into an electronics course, so electrical was the last thing I wanted to mess with.

Is there any thing I can do it stop it from vibrating so much?
You should find the source for the vibrations, such things have a tendency to damage parts over time. Are the pulleys not in line, or maybe damaged?

Just went out and installed the grounding wires from my alt casing and VR to my negative terminal and all the surging is gone.

Thanks you guys!
