I see there are some screw cable ends on ebay by accel . my stock end on the positive is craked from misuse..any one ever used such and item ?

It makes it easier to make up your own cables with soldered rings on the ends.

I put copper lugs on the cable.

Then bolt the lugs to a brass terminal.

I also use copper lugs on the cables.

Then I bolt the lugs to a side-terminal battery.

Connections remain exposed just like the good old days, but now the top of battery can be safely used as a place to set down a tool and your beer.

I have never used those screw in clamp style terminals but I think they would work fine as long as you have the correct gauge wire.I personally use the solder type terminals,better all round in my book.
