Ok got clips off from front cover, question is does the blower motor hold the heater box up with the rubber pieces that push through the firewall??

It is easier to take the whole heater box out. It is held in by three nuts around the blower motor, one screw between the rubber hoses on the firewall and a J bolt inside the vent door. Remove those and box slides out. Then you need to remove the control cables, a couple of electrical connections and the defroster tubes.

Now you can remove the box and seat it on a bench to repair. Gaskets, the heater core and various other parts are available on E-Bay for reasonable prices. While it is out you may want to install a wiper arm pivot rebuild kit and grease the wiper linkage.

Thanks for the info....looks intimidating at first but now it doesn't sound too bad......
