ITs not a bad design, highly modular, ie the acc pump is seperate, the profile cams are replaceable (or manufacturable) and the spray bar can be modded, by drilling or filling holes. Idle circuit can be adapted to earlier models. I ran one on a warm Cleveland and I think I got about 5 miles per gallon. Tractor pull carbs or mudder truck. Good luck.

5 mpg? wow. until i can find a one piece accelerator pump diaphragm for it, it will continue to sit in my shed. when i had it on my car for the couple mins that it was it seemed to run really well. it was leaking pretty bad so i didnt drive it but the rev out was impressive. i know that doesnt really mean anything but compared to the holley 390 that i had on there it was night and day. a short blip with the 390 would net 2200 rpm with the predator it would run straight out to 4k with the same throttle movement. just a quick open and closed.

That is what makes the popular, its throttle response. I never dialed in mine in, the fan ate my radiator shortly after words, I think the throttle response actually broke a driver motor mount and the fan hit the radiator lip. For ~$100, they are still out there used.

I bet with a wide band you could dial that baby in tits. They were not around when I had #1, 2 or 3....Heck, hang 2-4 GM TB injectors overhead and Megasquirt it, I bet you could break another timing chain or motor mount.
