I ordered one of those fancy new pan gaskets Dan recommends and installed it in my brother's Duster today. Mopar part no. 4295875AC. I took some pictures before I installed it so people could see what the fuss is about. I have to say that this is a VERY nice gasket and worth the money! It is a stiffer gasket than the old cork ones, but has very nice raised lips around the perimeter and around each bolt holes.

I am holding the gasket straight out from my fingers and it is stiff enough to not flop down. Good stuff!

I recommend these for anyone replacing a pan gasket in the future.

I read Dan's recommendation and didn't hesitate, I have that gasket as well, great stuff. No sealant necessary.

How many times can you use it?

I will guess far more than the cork or rubber kinds. Definitely more than once.

I am out of the loop on this one. Where do you get them, and what are they called. Thanks.

I have one of them. No sealant needed. And I have used it many many times. I used to have tranny leaks, and emptied that pan more than I want to say. But I say, if you don't have it - get it if you can.
