Sorry I didn’t make it to Bristol. I’ve been traveling a lot lately.

I finally need to replace the radiator in my sedan. It’s still the brass Slant6 original narrow one. Re-cored probably 20 years ago. I can’t get the car to run cool at highway speed. Seems fine putting around town. Anyway, I’ve looked at a bunch of options online and I wondered if you guys had a suggestion. Don’t care about originality. That went away long ago.

I’ve seen some guys use these and have a radiator shop move the outlet to the other side

I found these but they’re VERY pricey.

Any ideas?

See this post on the Champion Rad.

I also used the universal radiators from Summit in both my car and truck with good results. You have to do some more fabrication of the brackets for yourself though. See my 65 Valiant thread in the Virtual dragstrip for details

I use Griffin or Afco universal Chevy style radiators and build my own mounts and use universal hoses from the parts store. Cheap (~$200) and work well. Hope to see you at a race sometime.

Hi Mike!

My 65 has a copper/brass one listed for a slant Volare (Murray 433525), along with a Volare upper hose.

$168+tax and it was in stock here in town.

CALL CHAMPION. I believe when you order, you can specify which side to put the outlet ports.
