Major bummer. I bought a cheap beater that way - couldn't even rotate the engine with a breaker bar and the plugs out.

Good luck with the buildup...

I think a nice fella out in Harrisburg area has a donor one. Gotta go cheap. Nice of him to help us out. sitting a while, but ran when pulled.

Just need to find time for a road trip......

Oh noooooooooo :cry: that would explain a lot

If you need an intermediary to go out to Harrisburg, let me know. I can help out if you need, pretty sure if I fold the seat down in the Cherokee I can get the engine in there with some help, and some help to get it back out.

I'll figure out how to get there - just not sure when.

Should give you some comfort to know you were doing things right! The mopar gods were just stacked against you!

that does help my mind a bit :)

truly though, if ever you need some help transporting parts (whether it's for my car or others) let me know - we're close enough, and i can't actually express how cool i think what you're doing with your students is!

Picked up the engine from Manheim PA area. Complete, from a 69 D100. 2 barrel, electronic ignition dizzy. complete. Should work. Just need to fix the larger register to flywheel issue.

Still would be nice to find a 67 Oil pan and PU. may just have the pull the one off the 67 170 engine.
