Has anyone used the intake from pierce Manifolds K9115 with two webers & offenhauser intake, I'm building a 225 & plan on putting in bigger valves, above intake, Bigger cam (input welcomed), headers for a abody, shave block or head & port. I'm putting this in 1965 dodge dart with 4 speed 833 OD trans, 8 3/4 rear with either a 3.23 or 3.55 pos, 4link plus frame connectors any in put is welcomed. Plan on using the car weekend cruising, a few 2hour vacation trips & maybe a little playing with some V8's.

Thanks Brian

These look to be the same kits that Proline out of Idaho had offered, and a few people 10 years back had installed... (you might use the search function and look up Proline)...

I helped work on one that went into a 1966 Dart with an A-230 3speed and 3.23's... If it's the same kit, you will need to read a book on weber carbs and be prepared to do some tuning.

With the OD box you will want the 3.55's...

The most important factor toward making power on a Slant 6 is the head work. Find a person who is knowledgeable about porting (maybe PM Doctor Dodge on this site) and have them port a head for you. For your application, I would suggest a Clifford 4bbl manifold and Edebrock 500 carb. That will be easiest to tune (maybe none needed) and make more power than that 2X2 kit. Of course, you will not have the zing factor of 2 carbs, so it depends on what you want.

My 2 cents,
Lou

Thanks Again. Brian

Recommendations so for.

Clifford shorty headers, 2" or 2.25" primaries into a Y-pipe just behind the trans X member, then 2.5 or 3" out the back. 2.5" will be fine for all but the wildest engines.

Let me think about cam. Something like lobe 34 or 1559 intake and 1628 exhaust with 105 deg LSA. 10-10.4:1 compression and run on pump premium.

Lou

Lou, I assume these are Oregon Cam Grinding mechanical lobes but I cannot find 1559 or 1628.

Yes. I wonder if they have a new lobe sheet and these are no longer listed? Mine is from 2012 or so. I don't see their lobe sheet on their website. Anyone have a recent one?

Best,
Lou

This is the one I see on their website.

From here, scroll to the bottom and click on the red square. I struggled to find it at first.

I posted the specs for the Clifford 300M in the "cam selection" thread. IIRC, that cam is somewhat close to what Lou has in his '64 Dart. (Or used to have)

That 300 cam is bigger than in my Dart but very close to what is in my Valiant racecar (11:1 comp).

I did not see the link on the Oregon site for lobes. Gee that list is really old (2003), and I have an updated one (2012) I must have gotten by email. I'm sure they will send if you ask.

Lou

Look in the FAQ above and there is a 2015 updated mechanical cam list

Hi Rick,

I guess I am being dense. I cannot see anywhere on the FAQ page of oregoncamshaft.com that has a list. There is a note that says there is a list coming on the upper left of the page...???

Thanks,

Lou

Their webpage is not put together all that well... it's better to search their company with another parameter to get the current lobe list...

FYI.

Sorry, it is on this site. Go to engines section, top of the page and there is a FAQ topic. Open it and scroll down to the camshaft info.

Thanks, Rick! Got it. Also, thanks to CJ or whoever posted that file.

Best,

Lou
