Got the motor and transmission out, the K frame removed and the new one installed. Motor should be ready to set down in the car again in a few days!

Once the engine fires and has oil pressure, I'll start sniffing for the 12.99!

I removed the oil pump from the mild race engine that I pulled on Monday to check the oil pump and cam gears. I was excited to see two good gears after 3 seasons of racing. So once the race car is done I'll be doing another swap into my truck.

Looked at my Jeffrey head and the new intake/exhaust gasket and the intake ports are almost a perfect match as is. The intake runners are slightly smaller than the gasket so I am just leaving them as is. I lined up the manifold on the gasket and made a couple hash marks. Them I installed the gasket on the head with the intake to see how it lined up on the head. All appears to be fine!

I finished installing the Stage 8 fasteners on the oil pan so I dont have to worry about them coming loose. There is not enough in the kit to do the whole pan so I drilled the heads on some allen screws and used safety wire on the ends. I'm especially glad to know than none of them can fall out!. I've had that happen before and it makes a mess.
