i've been thinking about changing my breather for quite some time and haven't found anything so i'm looking at doing this myself i've been looking for a open filter breather for the 2 barrel all i've seen are for the 4 barrel so i am thinking of cutting the sides off my stock breather and was wondering what i might find after doing such a thing

Are you talking about your air cleaner? Mr Gasket makes adapters to go from a 4bbl size to a 2bbl size. If your talking about the crankcase breather, Mr. Gasket, Edelbrock, or Spectre makes open breathers that work in a slant valve cover. I have a Spectre on mine now.

Thats what I plan to do when I switch to my open air cleaner. The plastic adapters crack over time. On the other hand, they do give a smooth path for the air to flow into the carb.
