I heard that Vans have lower first and second gear ratios then car 904's is that true and what are the actual ratios for both?
I was also told the final(3rd) ratio for both is 1.00-1

Yes, the "Wide Ratio" 904 was offered in the later years in a number of different applications, I find most of them in 1981 and later SL6 vehicles.

The wide gear ratios are: 2.74 first, 1.54 second and 1 to 1 final (2.21 reverse)

The standard ratios ar 2.45 first, 1.45 second and 1 to 1 final (2.20 reverse)

So if I put a van 904(its the same as a car 904 isn't it?) it would be like changing to a 2.94 from a 2.76 in first gear right?
Is a van 904 the same in length width and depth?
Would it be a direct replacement to a car 904?

Its not just vans that have the lower gears. Most 904s after about 1984 or so did. Often rebuilders swap in the lower set when rebuilding an older trans. Ever hear of a 998 or a 999 trans?? They are basically a 904, bolts in directly in place of an older 904, but these were the ones with the wider gearset. My 89 Dip with a 318 has it too.

I went and pulled the van trans today now I just have to find time to swap it in, and replace the filter and fluid before the Pittsburgh race.
