The factory rockers are surprisingly good and the aftermarket ones that have been tried have often had oiling or other issues. Spend money elsewhere.

400hp you say?

Tell us more of what you are really looking to do? Rocker arms look cool but only when you are broke down and have the valve cover off to fix something! :D :D

400 HP is not in sight without a power adder... Turbo, blower, or nitrous

In all seriousness, 400 streetable horsepower will take a turbo. Stock rockers would be fine, as long ss they are in good shape.

If you want to go roller rockers, T&D in Nevada would be my recommendation. Been a while since I bought a set. I think they're around $750 on your rocker shaft. That would be mechanical only. Not much reason to go with Rollers, as the engine won't spin fast enough for it to make much/any difference. That said, I have a set of RAS which I don't recommend, and a set of T&D's. They look really spiffy when you have the cover off. Adjusting the valves becomes a heck of a chore, as the adjusters are more difficult to deal with. You can order the ratio you want from either. Anything larger than 1.5 will result in some screwy valve geometry. Any of them tend to require custom push-rods. I use Smith Brothers. The shaft tower height will be wrong, but in most cases, not enough to cause problems.

For 400 crank HP net, I'd recommend an LS swap. :lol:

400 HP from a slant puts you in hero territory. Possible? Yes, for a price. There are several strip only cars that live brief lives up there. Very few, if any, street cars. You must have a power adder to get close to those kinds of numbers.

HP=Torque*RPM/5252 HP is just a number. The only use for which would be bragging rights. Dialing quicker than a BB-wedge car and reeling him in at the stripe? Priceless! :D

For sure I was going to turbo it but idk if efi or carb will get me in that range? A stronger cam,Cheetah turbo action transmission shift kit and a bigger exhaust. Maybe a super 40,but for the dual turbo set up. I want it under the vehicle to keep the sleeper look.

A poorly done 5 psi setup won't last long. A well done 15 psi setup will last much longer. If you've never built a turbo engine you should expect to make mistakes and get good at changing head gaskets and pistons.

I think its easy to build the engine for boost or na. The engine management is what needs to be taken into consideration.

Go megasquirt /motec / haltech etc. for and fueling and timing then you'll be okay.

Spray bar needed for street use.

Ask how I know?....

My set had a soft shaft that would squash when torqued. Used less torque and loctite.
