Of course you are right about front/rear and left/right changes only by moving weight, but changing diagonals by changing spring hts/preloads should help equalize launch by equalizing two rear tires better. You will take weight off one rear and move it to the other.

Agreed. That's how we adjusted our dirt cars. Before I had access to scales I used an old trick to set up my cars. Find the center of the rear axle, place a socket on the jack and jack up the rear with the socket between the jack and rear end, until one tire comes off the ground, then continue until the other tire is just about to leave the ground. That at least shows you the heavier wheel and the difference in inches. That is the method I used I set up my Dart for Knoxville.

Cool old school trick.

Howard Davis gave me a set of scales he used to use many years ago. Bathroom scales with homemade fulcrums. You multiply the scale results by 4 if I remember right.

Now that I have the space and a flat floor I will dig them out and play with them.
