Hi John,

Do they really have the stainless fire ring, like in your pic? The Rockauto pic has no fire ring, but maybe it is just a stock pic.

Thanks much,

Lou

The pile of gaskets on the left in the photo that I posted are the gaskets from RA. The packaging says ‘Replace Walker...’
The single gasket on the right is a Walker gasket.
Both sets have a stainless ring at the center.

You are correct that the photo in the listing does not show a ring, but the ring is present on the gaskets that I got.

Ordered. I'm pretty sure the Spitfire headers on my V8 Dart use the same ones.

Hello, Don't yell at me a lot,,,
these Rock Auto collector gaskets have an undersized bolt hole diameter that splays the collector mounting bolts and causes interference when bolting the collector to a collector extension. At least that is what I found. It is easily correctable. The RA collector gaskets have slightly under sisized ( and out of position ) mounting holes. See the overlay photo.
Use a drill bit to bring the RA gasket mounting holes to the diameter of the Walker gasket mounting holes and all is fine.

Maybe that is why the RA collector gaskets are discounted. I really don't know, but they have the stainless ID gasket and a very substantial exterior gasket, with the mounting holes small and off location.

.438 vs .368 is the bolt hole diameter.

.070 undersized and not on the same nominal, see how the bolt hole centers do not align.
that will cause difficulty went assembling the header-collector gasket-collector extension.
however it is easily resolved by opening the gasket bolt hole diameter.

2.47 vs 2.48 is the center exhaust diameter
.01 difference, very inconsequential.

open the mounting bolt holes and life will be great.

The bolt spread looks to be good for my Cliffords. They'll be fine. :D
