has anyone been hands on with a argentinian race head?
Yes (not I, though)

any chance the south american stock head has the fast burn chamber standard?
No. The only known Slant-6 head with what passed for a "fast-burn" chamber at the time was the mid-'70s US prototype aluminum head.

Long journey, through a few hands, not for sale that I know of.
I do not have it.

when I look at that combustion chamber, I see a lot of valve shrouding
on a cylinder that is already constrained for valve size.

if we can go off of the engine info it was used on a 3.6 bore. i would love some measurements from this head - maybe a poured mold of the chamber side by side with a std head? is the guide c-c the same as a standard head? the thought of getting real info on that head is exciting. anyway does anybody have a thought on getting a pair of exh man to woody?

Last I knew the Argentinian head was in Minnesota. Current owner supposedly had it flowed and was underwhelmed at the numbers.

I have seen another head with welded up chambers like that. Last I knew it was on a Slant 6 record holding car.

Don't count on getting the head that is in the USA.
Start looking down south, way south to find another if you want one.

If I had manifolds I would offer them up.

Time to get Mike S energized and make a trip back to Oz and bring his back.

That was a huge bore! :D

I'm not sure that I would? Maybe to Doug or Lou or someone I know extremely well. They are just too rare to hand off to someone across the country or across the pond that I did not know.

The pattern maker that I had contact with are in my home town and have been for 30-40 years. They are supposedly some of the best on the East Coast.

Again the $5000 to get the first ones done is not the scary part for me. There are still a lot of what ifs that were my concern. What if I sold a bunch and they all cracked 6 month later....etc. That kind of stuff.

Now if someone said I will give you $2000 guarantee money to keep until my manifolds are returned, then maybe! :D :D

Still not enough interest in this? Seems like there should be enough slant sixers in the world to make this worth it....

We need 10-20 people who will pay ahead $500 each and wait 2 yrs to get their part. That takes legwork and trust. Go for it. I'm in for a pair, if I am confident the person doing it can get it done.
