The top of the toilet sits right about even with the bottom edge of the scoop opening. You can just see it in the photo.

Run it as is and change the hood over the winter. Fiberglass is not that hard to work with, just messy.

Rick, where do you get your supplies?

Steve Dulcich has a Roadkill Extra video on YouTube. He’s cool. 8)

I think I bought the fiberglass mat at Walmart in a kit but that was several years ago. It was like a 3' X 3' piece of the material. The resin / hardener I just picked up at the hardware store locally when I glassed in the rear hood hinges on my fiberglass hood.

I got the Challenger mostly ready for some testing at Ohio Valley tonight.

I've run it through the gears on jack stands a couple times, installed new 5 point harness, checked all the fluids, bolts, etc.

I need to wire a taillight and secure the decklid better, but I should be able to knock that out this afternoon. Track opens at 6...

It was raining, so I just went to the garage and fiddled with wiring the taillight and mounting the trunk lid.

Things in the garage are still a cluttered mess. I couldn’t find any of my wiring kits (I probably have 3). I was able to find an old, rusty wire stripper and some used wires out of other cars that I could use for the taillight.

I’m not happy with my hokey fix on the trunk lid. I need to get some 1/4 turn fasteners and do it right.

I’m moving Chase to Lexington tomorrow, but if I make it back in time and the weather is good I’ll try again. I’ve got 3-4 more opportunities before Clay City, so hopefully I’ll get there.

Just got home from the garage. Weather forecast is good for tomorrow and the track opens at 10:30....

I guess I’m finally gonna try this.

I had to jury rig some bushings for the rear shocks this evening. They had completely deteriorated to where there was nothing left at all. Luckily I’m a hoarder and had recently swapped some leaf springs around and I kept the old bushings. A little cuttin’, some WD40 and the shop press had ‘em replaced in no time.
