Here's a number "9" cast into the head. Probably coincides with the -9 at the end of the casting number I would just "guess".

A "23" cast into the head just in front of a spark plug hole. Many apologies for the poor quality.

Now, this mark could be interesting. It's a blue ink stamping. I cannot make out what it says, even with a magnifying glass. It appears to begin with an "A" but that's about all I can tell. It is about as long a an "AAWJ"stamp would be, but I cannot see them both casting and stamping THAT, so I think it's something different.

Another mark and it's an interesting one as well. At first, I thought it was a Roman numeral II, but looking at the picture, it appears more like a "77" stamped with a line underneath. That would make sense, since the head supposedly came from a 1977 Dodge Aspen.

And the last mark, another cast in "9" on the bottom of the head. Again, probably coincides with the -9 at the end of the casting number.

That's it as far as any castings or stampings. Maybe someone has seen that blue stamp before and can identify it. It's going to be a bit before this goes to the machine shop. If anyone would like any pictures of the blue stamp from another angle, let me know. I'm sure it will come off once the shop cleans it.

The 'Blue Stamp'

Play with the photo in a photo editor.

You may find a setting that brings it out so you can see what it is.

And strangely enough, sometimes going out of focus helps.........

Gosh, I'm just "not that smart". lol Maybe one of yall can mess around with it. I don't really have a program that'll do that. I messed with photoshop in an older computer years ago and it blew my mind. lol

I messed around with it using the photo edit feature on my iPhone; I just changed the saturation, contrast, definition, stuff like that.
The result ws pretty amazing:

I never could get the "A" that you mentioned to become apparent to me, but I wasn't expecting this either!

It may be a stretch, but I can see what looks like a "CC" in the pic.
Here's my original edit and a highlighted copy.

After seeing this, the "CC" mark stands out, for me anyway, in your original unedited pic.

Got some numbers.

Chamber volume - 56CC's

Intake port - 87CC's

Exhaust port - 101CC's

Is it common for the exhaust to be larger than the intake? Measured each twice, so I duplicated.

Very interesting. I wonder if a black light would help expose something? I believe I'll try one before it goes to the machine shop.

I really appreciate your efforts!

Those numbers just made no sense, so I went back and remeasured. Three times. I don't know how I screwed the first measurement up. I've been up all night.....maybe that's it. lol

Intake -95CC's

Exhaust - 64CC's

That sounds a little more believable.
