The crank trigger is a prototype that was intended for a small block Chevy. I'm going to use a threaded Hall effect sensor here and a bit of square tubing welded to the timing cover. Some work in progress pictures:

My welding skills aren't the greatest, but at least I don't have any more holes in the timing cover than I started with.

Looks like you were a bit more confident in your welding skills getting the gap right than I am! I went with a threaded Hall effect sensor. Everything ready now except paint and finishing the wiring.

Yes but it's a prototype SB chevy one that bolts nicely to the Romac for a slant 6 - would like matt/ Diyautotune to make some more of them... wink wink, nudge, nudge.
