Years ago Jim Cox told me they had a roller in the Dart that was .700"+.

Grind #1542 is one of the biggest that OC has a master of. For roller cams.

I'm with Rick. Every flow curve I've seen stops gaining after about 0.550". Maybe you get another 1-2% at 0.600" on 1-2 curves I've seen from Drakes and Tilley? Tilley made the most HP on his NA engines with <0.550" so I guess those are all 350-370 HP lawnmowers (on race gas, not alcohol). He tried some "904" max rate and 0.600" cams and said they were worse on the dyno.

I wonder if Oregon would grind a cam with 0.550" lift and much longer duration? I don't see a need to stress the valvetrain or buy fancy schtuff if the lift doesn't help you anyway. I will be trying a longer duration cam on the 64 Dart NA engine when it goes back in. Still at or just below 0.550".

I wasn't thinking about that cam but that's what OC can grind on the big side.
They do have several cams in the .550 lift area but most of their cams have more lift.
I use #1082 in the wagon and it pulls hard clear to 6500 RPM
I 265 E 271 lift with 1.6 rocker arms .643 on both with lash at .022
