cruise on the highway with quick acceleration.
Changing the transmission will not give you any more power and your acceleration will be close the same with the 833OD as what you have now.

Acceleration is most affected by the rear ratio or else having more raw HP.
I agree with that but if it's going to be about the same I would rather have the 833OD just because it's stock to the truck i know what type of transmission it is so if I need a rebuild or a part I'm not struggling to find it. Since I don't have alot of info in the transmission that it has now. Can you send me some links that provide useful information for acceleration and speed as well.

Not sure that such a link exists? Especially for a truck.

What actually are your goals for the truck? That may help. If your truck would happen to have a 3.91 rear in it from the factory that would help immensely. Can you see a ratio tag on the rear end cover bolt? I had one like that (3.91 ratio) and even with a stock engine it ran pretty nice.

I'll check i don't remember seeing a rag on the rear. But my end goal is just to have something reliable and quick

I hope your idea of quick is relatively slow? :D :D We are talking about a 100HP slant 6 after all.
