so new 9" drums, shoes, hardware, rebuilt Master C. , and rubber hoses

how is the pedal suppose to feel after a rebuild? mines returns slowly, like if the cylinders are pushing the pedal back out, is this right? or am i in deep doo doo..???

the car stops really good, feels nice and tight, just that the pedal returns slowly, is this a cause for worry?

There should be a coil return spring around the brake pushrod.

My original had disintegrated, and I made a new one with piano wire

The return spring doesn't do anything other then protect the rubber boot.

I would check the adjustment of the individual brakes and then bleed the lines. A slow return of the brake pedal could also mean a bad master cylinder. A common problem with the 9" brakes.

Could also have problematic residual-pressure valve(s) in the master cylinder. What year car is this?

master cylinder was rebuilt, new springs and such and the seats were changed also, the cylinder inside looked good, no gashes or anything

the brakes also started making a squeal, on the front driver side, is it because they are new????

Make sure that all of the pads are adjusted so there is no too much travel before the shoes contact the drums.
