Does anyone know of a good source for stock replacement proportioning valves or better yet, rebuild kits for them?

I don't want to go to a non-stock style, and 30+ year old O-rings make me nervous.

AFAIK there are no rebuild kits, nor are there secret stashes of new ones. They are not hard to disassemble, clean and "rebuild" with new premium O-rings; the harder part would be chasing down the premium O-rings. Plumbing supply house items will not be acceptable. I'd probably use Neoprene A/C O-rings.

What kind of car are you working with? What kind of rear brakes have you got?

One of the brake places, either mpbrakes or ssbc (wasn't there one other major one?) had stock style ones that would fit in same location w/same bracket

If you have no luck at the brake places try finelines or classictube, inlinetube or other line vendors. Like i said, I know I saw them, just not positive where.

It's a '71 Plymouth Satellite w/ stock disk/drum brakes; the origonal PV valve I've got in there is working just fine, but as since everything else in the entire system is new and/or rebuilt, it's probably the weakest link.

While the O-rings are probably not hard to find, the plastic differential pressure switch insulator is a bigger concern, and I was just wonderning if somebody made them and so I could buy a spare or a kit.

I've a book at home to tell me fluid/material compatibilities - I believe natural rubber is one of the preferred materials for DOT3, but I don't have the book in front of me. [I've been running DOT5 for years w/o trouble but have not tested viton compatibility with it; some know combinations swell badly.]
