If you don't want to narrow the rear end right away you could get some 15" V6 Dodge minivan or Intrepid wheels. The Intrepid wheel is +40mm offset which means it's 1.34" farther inboard per side than stock and is just about perfect for an A-body with the '68-'70 B-body rear axle.

OK, so a small update:
I knife edged my 63 crank, and it is off to get the rear opened up to the later model size.My block is there to get machined.....we will be at 12:1 when we are finised up.The K1 forged stuff is waiting.....we are going further w/ the port work......blending the runners. Will get the larger valves, and the 340 springs. Should spin an easy 6100 rpm, and make good power. Will be running the roller rockers on it from Cox Brothers....OH- got the front drag shocks, and hope to have the rears next week, so that will be a good day lowering the front, and adding the shocks.Hoping to get ti painted still.Did a renendering of it......maybe post it later on.

Well my motor is out and torn down, headed to the machine shop today to fix the damage from oil loss .Pulling the front K member for blasting and tweaking.Got all my Cal Trac rear suspension (everything) so I'll be installing that waiting for my motor to come back.Still need to get a harness and if time and money are on my side I would like to install a 4 point cage.I want to make it to Vegas in March and am hoping all goes well then to Bonneville in Aug.Got a lot to do and getting tight on cash for this project (always) Can't believe I've been on this car for three years and still not done.Drove it for 1000 miles and had to tear it back apart.I love working 2 jobs and not having any money because:Gotta make Vegas,Gotta make Vegas,Gotta make Vegas,Gotta make Vegas
Having a slant is like having a sickness

Thanks Andrew and all for the updates and photos...' What are you going to name your car? Still the "Junk yard Devil Dog"....Skull and Crossbones..."Andrews Antics", "The Money Pit"...Glad you went with the Cox roller rockers...C an't wait to see it first hand...Drop us a Samoa schedule when avialable..take care, Wayne

PS: " Waynes' World" has a new valve body via Turbo Action. The old one wanted to 'creep' on me and the new ones are suppose to correct the problem.

Arics' transmission back in the car with a new pump drive...

The sun came out and it was a nice high in the 40's out...

Two more to add to the list... dialed in StephanieBrite's BBD and reset her timing... (should see some nice improvement on the volare now that it is set to the correct initial and has about 45-46 degrees at highway cruise...and in gear it now reads about 24" of vacc.)...

While LCY, Steph, and Thor were over they help me put the re-worked head on the Hpak Duster... (I had assembled the intake and manifolds onto the head first so I could properly torque the nuts...that permatex gasket does seem to do the job when you have 3 manifolds that don't quite agree on their flange width...)...So big THANKS to all three (I still think they are in shock that we didn't need the engine hoist to put it on the engine... but it was fun wrestling it into place...LOL). 8)

Once all the punchlist items are done Ceej can cut paste:

Dusteridiot-HPak Duster rides again, see you at Medford...

Mike and myself think maybe you need a new vac gauge or at least check with a different gauge ( 24in is a lot of vac for an engine)

unfortunate :( Slant is going out. v8 going in :( but over time. my old man will be building his first ever slant six with my block. a High performance setup. possibly with a turbo. may go back in for a test. may just sell it. in the next few years mostly likely.
for now 318 going in. building a 408 @ the moment low on cash tho.
still be racing local @ pittsburgh raceway, and racing a bunch of big money races and possibly an ihra national or 2 in ET class.

Workin on the '66 barracuda drag car here and there. It's still only a shell and since its a homebuilt tube chassis setup we will have to fab up a rear suspension for it and then start to put the front suspension back on it and put a brake system on it as well. Since I dont have that great of a place to work on it the work will be slow due to cold weather. There's also a '46 dodge rat rod p/u in the works that wont take much to finish, it's 318 powered though. You honestly didnt think I was gonna put a dirt common
small block chevy in it did you?? 8)

My 198 is being turned into a 225 so the RX-203 will be the RX-230. I figured I'd be better off having the 225 rods resized instead of just driving the ARP bolts into the 198 rods.
