61 Godge Lancer. You can buy it reasonable before I start. 220.00.!!! Located in southeast Washingtin State. Desert country. Dry cliamate so very minimal rust.

Subject vehicle,...is a 1961 Dodge Lancer. Complete car with a clear title. It is a 4 Door that has a near perfrct body. Good tires, Needs paint, but only due to fade. Clean car with good upholstery.

The engine rotates with a heavy spot. I assume a bad rod bearing.

I looked it over today and it appears to have to be pulled to even get the pan off. 3 speed on the tree.

Which procedure for pulling engine is best? Engine tranny together? Do I need to pull radiator? Any shortcuts? Gl440

If it's got a 3-speed manual trans with the shifter on the steering column, it's probably a '62. The '60-'61 cars with manual transmission had the shifter on the floor.

Pulling the engine and trans together means you needn't find a way to hold the trans up...!

I stand corrected, it is a 62. I just wanted to see if there was a quicker way than standard pull. I will leave tranny in. It appears tight, so radiator out. Gl440

It's only 4 more bolts, a couple of clips, and the speedo cable to pull the tranny. The job is a ton easier if you do.

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.
