I finally got my 65 valiant v100 upgraded to a super six 2 barrel setup and it turns on and it idles. I haven't driven it yet though. When I try to accelerate, it bogs. Too much gas? Jets too big? If I accelereate the engine slow enough, it will rev up but only to a ceratin point, then it wants to turn off. Any ideas?

I upgraded my '63 to a Super Six with no problems, but I had taken the carb to a shop and had a professional rebuild done on it.

I would first check to see that you are getting sufficient gas from the accelerator pump for the acceleration problem.

For the second problem, I have seen a stall-out problem with a couple of old 1 bbl carbs that were shot. It could be a low float adjustment. I would guess that a full rebuild is in order.
