I'm almost done with my disc brake conversion and need some advice.
So the rim spoke is just rubbing the caliper (cragars :D yay). I am using washers as a gauge for the rim spacer size I need, I want to keep the spacer as small as possible.
What is the minimum space I should have between the caliper and spoke?
Is 1/8" to little?

I had to grind the calipers on the rear of the Valaint to clear the rims....its not unusual.

As long as they clear it doesnt matter how much.

Thanks, that is what I needed to know. 8) My only concern was that the area on the caliper that needs grinding are the cast "supporting ribs" on the stationary side.

Be sure to measure with a new outboard pad. As it wears, you'll get even more clearance.
