Some cars have end links that clamp around the strut rod instead of through a tab on the control arm.

Which cars have this feature? C-body? Any late-model stuff with similar design that I can look for in JY?

Thanks for any help.

Never seen any end link connect to a strut rod. Seems that would produce erratic operation as well as playing havoc with alignment. Besides the factory tab riveted into the LCA, I have seen L-shaped tabs that connect to the lower shock mount bolt.

It gets tricky because the factory bars will not align properly with the shock mounted tab and vice versa. At first glance it's hard to tell the bars apart.

My '67 Newport had the sway bar connected to the strut rods. I don't know which C-bodies were this way except for that one. There used to be aftermarket sway bars that were set up similarly.

My '70 Fury had that set up also. I've seen '73 up B bodys (Satellite's, Coronets, '75-up Cordoba/Charger, maybe Magnums) with the isolated K frame with the links to the strut rods also. Trust me, they work as I went from my stock bar on my Fury to a bar from an ex state patrol car and could tell a huge difference with new bushings and thicker bar.

That's what I thought.

I'm putting an f-body sway bar on my 68, and a set of those links would be perfect. Off to scrounge!
