I found a vendor that has new forged H-beam 198 connecting rods. :D
http://www.campbellenterprises.com/slan ... g-rods.php
Matching 225 high compression pistons are also available.
Make sure you're sitting before you look at the prices.

Yes K1 has worked with us directly to produce those rods. They are actually very reasonably price, maybe not sbc or 302 rods. They had a small problem with the tang location, but great stuff!

Stock 198 con rods, used (if you can find them) $200 plus at least $25 (probably more) per rod to add ARP bolts and recondition= $350.
So for less then $150 more you have a much stronger, lighter rod. Actually a no brainer.

Or even more, if you REALLY wanted a set, say, 2 years ago... AMHIK.

I was being conservative. I really think it would be more then $25/rod to uprade the stock ones.
