this is kinda pointed at Slant six Dan. I have a napa coil lying around # IC29. it has 4 female pins on it and looks simialar to the coil you show in the thread on the hei swap. are the pins the ignition module? just different connector configuration?

It'll probably work fine if you can figure out the polarity and get the correct connectors for it.

actually I think they are the connections for the coil. + and -

Well yeah, that's the kind of connections one finds on a coil, is coil connections. :-)

There's no module built into/onto this coil.

In the picture the connecter closest to front are for the 12 volt input and tach lead (the one closest to coil output is for 12 volt input), on the other side (closest to output of coil is for the + connecter from the ign module and the other connector is for the C connector from the module).
You can buy the black and gray conecters from any parts store (ign coil pig tails)
