I am Putting the cam in for ruster and I do not have a head yet.

I just want to ballpark the Timing Gears - I have the tilley timing set with the adjustable top gear and the torrington bearing. I do see a mark on the bottom gear but nothing on the top a'la Stock style.

How do I go about lining this up?

I beleive a few other folks Might have used Cameron Tilley's Gear?

Thanks,

Greg

I am probably the only one. Just installed it ("just" - 3 mo ago) and the cover is on it. I don't remember seeing a mark either, but I think I just fooled with it until I got it right. IIRC, I used the cam pin and an old cam gear to see where it would go. I scribed it when I figured out where it was supposed to be.

Hope this helps,

Lou

At TDC exhaust stroke, the cam pin and the crankshaft keyway are straight-up, in relation to the top deck.
