Hey all, I was at the junkyard today and saw a slant head from an 80 ram van, but I know that the motor used hydraulic lifters. Could I snag this head and pretty much bolt on to a 71 225? I stole the intake, exhaust and carb from it. Please let me know if these heads are interchangable/somewhat interchangeable, because that head looked good.

1981 was the first year for hydraulic lifters. The '81-'87 heads bolt onto the '80 and earlier blocks, but you have to use the '81-'87 valve cover and if you're keeping your solid lifters you have to use the '80-and-earlier rocker shaft, rocker arms, and associated hardware.
