has anyone ever used nylon locknuts on the uca eccentric bolts? it seems like these would keep the alignment from coming out of wack if you tap a curb a bit too hard.

Lockwashers handle that. I've never had trouble with this. If you like extra insurance, go for it!

The only time I see alignment out of wack after "tapping a curb a bit too hard" is because something is bent. If the uca cams move then they weren't tightened to spec.
