83 D-150 slanted, engine started normally...died would not re-start there is only a click at the turn of the key.
Replaced starter with a known good starter...just a click
Replaced starter relay...just a click
Need your valued input, thanks

My guesses in order of probability...dirty connections at the battery...dead cell in the battery...internally corroded battery cable...loose ground connection.

Yup, battery connections, ground to block should be cleaned, and the battery its self can be good one moment, and dead enough to not turn over the engine the next start.

Battery cables do rot out after 30 years and will not carry enough amperage to kick the starter over.....

Ask me how I know......then why it rotted out 10" from the starter....
