I took these pictures a few years ago, I think it was Las Cruces NM. This engine was on the side of the road, looked to have been there 100 years! I got a kick out of it! Enjoy!
Ok all you "experts" What Year, CU, ETC!

I've got one of those cartidge oil cans, it came off a 1963 Dodge truck 225, the engine and truck both dated late 1962 manufacture...of all original for a pump engine, it would be in that similar time frame.

With the black iron pipe hooked to the air vavle/throttle body it looks like this may bee set to run on natural gas?

Think they would miss their water pump engine.. hard to supply water without it...

Yep common practice in these "parts" (west texas, eastern NM, Western Ok, S Ks) to see natural gas as the fuel for irrigation engines...

I wonder where those two lower coolant hoses go to? I can see how it's plumbed....thermo to tank, but it's also going from tank, out through a groundline, then back on another to the water pump?
You suppose they're using the engine heat for something?
