Here are some things I did:

http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... c&start=30.

Dont do the Griner Vent Relocate - It did not work for me.

Unfortunatley the A&A trans Website seems to be down :-(

http://www.aandatrans.com/departments/c ... trans.aspx

http://www.aandatrans.com/

I have a catalog of their stuff and most of it is on my wish list.

I think the stock 904 behind a slant is okay for the most part.

Install new bushings, Bearings seals etc. on all the pistons/Drums Etc. Block the accumlator - You can make one from some AL tube from the Hardware store.

Get quality clutches and steels / Bands - Alto Red Clutches are in ruster's 904 with no problems yet.

Call up A&A to discuss what you are trying to do.. they will help.

I also Have A transgo TF-3 Full valvebody in the 904 - if you go with a full manual V/B then you can get rid of the govenor and Heavy Park Gear and get the Aluminum Parts from A&A to replace ma Mopar's heavy Cast Iron Stuff.

Some mods off the top of my head.
High performance clutches and steels.
Extra clutch and steel in 2/3 pack
904 v8 band for 2/3 /or special kevlar piece
higher ratio band lever
Valve body mods/Shift Kits vary depending on performance level
4 pinion planetary gears
Billet aluminium Drums and spinning bits.
Block off accumulator for firmer upshift
Perhaps bolt in sprag mod( not sure in 904, Done in 727)
hi Po converter
there is more but thats all I can remember at the moment.
Check through these forums. Read Read Read. make a list then decide which you need to do.

I have a full manual body, the front drum is drilled to lube the kick down band and allow fluid out faster from the clutches. I didn`t drill the fluid passage in the pump assembly between the two sealing ring, also the faster ratio leveler, I have the 5.0 to go in. there are a few mods in these articials I can try. thanks
