This is on a lifetime guarente raybestos master kragen special. Hmmmm, is it a coincidence this master is listed for $64 with a lifetime while bendix is $94 for only a 1 year?

Strange, why is the power drum and non power drum master, in raybestos brand, listed under the same part # MC36338 ?

Sounds like you are using the cast iron master cyl still. It is almost impossible to get a good core for them now days. That is why remans dont last. The only way to reman 1 and have it last is to sleeve it. Look around for someone that puts a sleeve in them . It is way more expensive but works.
Or just swap to the later model aluminum master cyl.

Don't you need an adapter plate for the aluminum ones? If I want an aluminum one for an all drum car what car do I ask for? Can I use the same rod?

I put 2 lifetime ones on from Advance auto. $36 bucks if memory serves me correct. Neither one worked well at all! After going back with the second one for replacement, I got a "new" one for 65 or $68. It was the best money I ever spent. Rebuilt ones are junk. That came from a man who worked at Advance and told me that 4 out of 5 come back within just a few months!

This one was $76 on the reciept. Granted its been in there for maybe 5 years but aren't these things supposed to last lots longer then that?
The counter guy did say it was new when I bought it, but I don't have proof that it is new, for that matter I don't have proof it was rebuilt, either.

"Lifetime" in the parts biz means 5 years. That is the average that anybody owns a used car. By the time 5 years is up, you will have either lost the receipt or sold the car. Also a "Life Time" warranty usually is not transferable to a new owner.
