No test-ntune runs yet. Too much rain here this april ;-(


It has been more than a Month since I tried to drive down to Hagerstown for a TNT session and they "closed" 'cause there were not enough Cars.

Maybe I will be able to get a test n tune in soon Here in Pittsburgh.


I have been Able to Remove the Rear Bumper, Some unnecessary Brackets and Supports and other metal where it's not Needed for another 27.5# Weight Reduction. Also Radiused the RR Wheel Well As I noticed some rubbing when I rolled ruster off the trailer.

I was debating about putting a rear bumper back on GodsRods Duster II to make it look better, but I don't want to add back any weight.

Further down the list of priorities is using one of the plastic fascias for the front like you did... They're still sitting in the bed of the truck...

I know what you mean about RAIN!! It really makes me want to move back to Arizona (even Germany didn't get THIS much rain!)

Looking real good.My car got alot better 60 fts by just removeing the clamps on the rear of the springs,and angeling the shackals forward a bit,think I added a half inch spacer to move the tops forward to get about 45 degree angle.Got even better after i added a short piece of leaf,mounted upside down from just behind axel forward.I have best results with no clamps,and pretty much flat springs.Think I have 1 less leaf than you.Just giveing you cheap easy ideas that has worked for me.Guzzi Mark

After re looking at pics,what are those rear shocks?I know you cant possibly bee running air shocks.competition engineering shocks work well for me and are affordable.Guzzi mark.

I was able to Finally take the car out this year to the home track.

The day went very slow and only got 3 runs.. But better than nothing I guess.

Those of you who have attended a slant 6 race in the past at Pittsburgh know what I am talking about.. That slow race pace is the same.



A guy next to me said the air was 4000' today Accorgind to the reading on his weather station. I can't wait for good air now.

The Fabbed up "kickdown Keeper" or "Kickdown Linkage Eliminator" worked great - No adjustments needed.

I took off the air shocks and put on some regular Shocks but never got to make a 4th run with the other shocks due to the tire rubbing the wheel lip and a massive oildown near the end of the night that sent everyone home.

I have to radius the Wheel opening more to try out these shocks.

Maybe another outing in a week or 2.

I got 5# out of the car yesterday by trimming the door frames and other areas such as seat belt mounting points and reinforciments for passengers. I just couldnt resist while I I had the metal tools out for the wheelwell job.

I will post some pics soon. I am going to trim up the driver door frame which should be good far another 1-2#'s

Also I need to Get some supports for under the hood, It's really flexing at the big end of the track. I think Some more pins or heater hose bits could be helpful in this area.

Well I was able to cut 5 More Pounds of metal out of the Driver's door and from the Trunk area:

Now I have lost 317.5# Out of Ruster since November 2010

I can probably find 100 More #'s by The end of summer.



I also got a chance to Shim up th rear of the hood as it was "squashing" or flattening a lot at the big end of the track.

I used some bits of old heater hose and some liquid nails to do the trick:

The beer can coolies are for when I put the hood on the roof so it dosent scratch too much.





I found out that I also need to spend some tine working on the LR wheel well now as I have a tire hitting and rubbing there now..

It's good because I most likely will have to cut some more metal out to get it to stop rubbing.

I dont mind.
