Changing plugs will be the job of the passenger.

This truck should be fast and have traction problems.

Reed, Lou, Greg, Thanks for following along.

Now that the cab can be dropped in place things are getting more complicated.

I can overlook the GM content because such fabrication skill deserves recognition.
My hat (welding helmet?) is off to you 8)

Starting to rebuild the tunnel. Using as much of the material that was removed as I can to simplify the fabrication.

Nice,

That's exactly what I did when the T5 when into Grüne Hölle.

It sure beats trying to shape and join a bunch of flat little pieces of sheet metal.

The expensive tubular K-member I bought early on turned out to suck up way too much ground clearance.

So, I chopped the offending chromoly stuff out

And built my own

Much better

The chassis is getting close to being ready for the real motor to go in. I originally had a 6 quart truck oil pan on it but the pan hangs down too low. I decided I'd chop up a couple of car oil pans I have to make one high capacity oil pan. The way I have engine placement in the S10 frame there is nothing under the engine so why not use that space to increase the oil capacity?

I suspect it's going to hold 12 quarts or so now. Overkill?

Excellent work. We A-body guys are envious of the area available...

Thanks Lou,

I've been getting a lot of sheet metal welding practice lately.
I'm still not good at it but I managed to avoid making a big mess!
