Replaced my throwout bearing in my 83 d150 now it's sticking and can't shift through the gears when I'm driving what did i do wrong. And how could I fix this.

I doubt it is something with the bearing, although it could be.

Is it linkage or Hydraulic actuated? The theory is the same as your foot transfers motion to push the bearing on the pressure plate diaphragm or fingers lifting the pressure so the clutch disc can freewheel in the open flywheel to plate ring space.

I bet the linkage is maladjusted - Check the FSM for the procedure on setting freeplay on the linkage.

Did the TO bearing have a plastic housing or a metal housing? If plastic, it might have broken. Numerous people have had trouble with the plastic parts. When I replaced the clutch in my 84 D-100 the clutch kit came with the plastic TO bearing housing. I called the company to complain, and they sent me a metal one at no charge.

I'm pretty sure it's linkage since it looks like a rod is connected to the black fork that's on the TO.
What's is FSM

The clutch Freeplay adjustment with a linkage can be found Here

It's not for a 1983 Truck, but rather a 1970 Chrysler, but the concepts and procedures are roughly the same.

If following the procedure does not work, then there is a broken torque shaft or torque shaft support, or the Clutch fork pivot is broken or cracked, or some other unforeseen malady has occurred.

Both are unlikely, but I have had seemingly every part of the factory clutch linkage system fail on my various vehicles over the years. leaving me with the situation you describe.

So if I understand the manual right I have to adjust the nuts on the clutch side of the truck so it's has a 5/32th free play? I never touched the top just the bottom or would it be best to touch the bottom so it has that free play. From the clutch fork side

I'm not sure what your saying? Top? Bottom? There is only one adjustment point on the clutch and that is on the link between the torque shaft and the clutch fork. That is all I have ever seen. Adjust it until you have @ 1" free travel at the pedal.

Which is underneath the truck correct. Also could someone take a picture on how it looks stock because I know mine isn't stock

Is this the truck with the Ford transmission you have been talking about? Then it could have had a Ford TOB not the factory Mopar one. Did you inspect the new one and compare it to old one?

Yes I did it was the exact same one. Might have changed some parts from the ram to the Ford transmission for it to work
